Objective: To be able to cruise safely in local waters in moderate wind and sea conditions by day suitable for bareboat chartering.

Emphasizes on-the-water skills acceptable for  bareboat chartering.

Master the skills that were taught in the Basic Cruising Course. Learn new anchoring techniques, emergency procedures, passage planning, navigation skills, electronic navigation, radio procedures, seamanship, boat systems, and maintenance.

Taught in a 5-day live-aboard format. Board our custom 42' yacht Kinohi in Vancouver, B.C. to depart for the Gulf Islands. Course includes onboard accommodation, food, study material, exam and certification.

CYA Intermediate Cruising Standard is the recommended Bareboat Charter standard for coastal cruising.
